THE 8-LANE ROUTE CONNECTING THE 3 DISTRICTS IN HANOI IS OPEN TO TRAFFIC

Nguyen Van Huyen Street extends with 8 lanes to help connect 3 districts of Hanoi city and has officially opened to help people in the west of the capital to travel more conveniently.

After years of waiting, on October 8, Hanoi officially opened the Nguyen Van Huyen street. This is a road connecting the districts of Cau Giay - North Tu Liem - Tay Ho, contributing to reducing the load for the Hoang Quoc Viet - Buoi intersection.

The starting point of the route is the intersection with Hoang Quoc Viet Street, the end point with the 40 m road of Tay Ho Tay Urban Area. The project is invested and built by the Management Board of Hanoi New Urban Area with a total budget of nearly VND 39 billion.

Nguyen Van Huyen Street has 8 lanes on both sides with 4 lanes for cars and 4 lanes for motorcycles. The total length of road is 2.9 km.

Clearly divided traffic signs for motor vehicles and motorbikes.

The system of traffic lights and signs along the route has been completed.

An incomplete rotation is still installed with barriers, vehicles passing here are warned to slow down and on the pavement with speed humps.

Barrier with reflective installation helps the vehicles easily observe in dark conditions.

The median strip in the urban area is about 5 m wide and has been planted with flowers, grass cover, and regular workers.

After being opened to traffic, the extended Nguyen Van Huyen road will help connect internal roads in Tay Ho Tay urban area with major roads.

Previously, on October 8, Hanoi People's Committee started construction of the flyover of Nguyen Van Huyen - Hoang Quoc Viet intersection. The project has a total estimated investment of 580 billion dong invested by Hanoi Project Management Board of construction of transport works.

The bridge has a design load of class II, steel box girder, reinforced concrete slab, 300 m length, 16 m wide surface. In which, site clearance cost is about 300 billion dong, construction cost is over 180 billion dong.
